BTG MovieCast Podcast Episode 8: Deus Ex Machina

It’s been a hectic month for us over here at BTG Lifestyle as we work on other projects and the 9-5’s. But as we promised, we’d bring you two podcasts for September to make up for the one we missed in August, so here it is.

Last time we chatted about the announcement of the highly acclaimed Stranger Things, and delved into an in-depth review of the HBO series, The Night Of. This time, we’re looking at a local film that’s been getting a lot of buzz; Noem My Skollie (Which, we’ve recently found out is now South Africa’s official entry into the 2017 Oscars).

We then move on to our main discussion that focuses on the phenomenon of the Deus Ex Machina in storytelling; a narrative crutch (some would call it) that often manifests in films and TV series.
