BTG MovieCast Podcast Ep 5: Hollywood Copycatting

The BTG MovieCast Podcast is back for the 5th edition! That’s right! We did this FIVE times. Clearly it’s going to be a thing. In this month’s podcast we talk about Hollywood Copycatting!

What’s that? You don’t know what Hollywood Copycatting is? Well, it’s a term we coined which refers to the trend whereby Hollywood aims to replicate success by taking a very basic element of a successful film and using it in other films because it will probably be well-received and earn them a lot of money.

In this Podcast episode, we also talk about what we recommend you watch. Dean looks at the Showtime series Billions, starring Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis. Stephen looks at X-Men Apocalypse and what he thought about the latest installment in the franchise. We also discuss the latest casting rumours involving Brie Larson and the vacant Captain Marvel role.
