Short Film Weekend: Ticky Tacky

Over the last week you may have seen a sci-fi fantasy film starring a Scavenger, a Stormtrooper and an amazing Pilot. Yeah, I’m talking about Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Until this point, you may not have known who the actor was playing that awesome pilot, unless you watched films like Ex Machina or Inside Llewyn Davis. Well, I had this guy on my radar for a while. His name is Oscar Isaac, and this is HIS year, as he’ll also be playing the main villain, Apocalypse in the upcoming X-Men film.

Despite this, it’s great to know that he still does smaller indie shorts too; and this week’s Short Film Weekend features one of these- a bit of a crazy little film called TICKY TACKY. Enjoy…

The Synopsis for the film reads as follows:

“A wealthy and powerful man is betrayed by those closest to him, and under the guidance of his trusted confidant, devises a fiery requital.”

With a nod to the proscenium, this darkly comedic chamber piece stars Oscar Isaac, Tim Rock, Erika Rankin, Helen Rogers, and Julian Shatkin. Written and directed by Brian Petsos.
