Short Film Weekend: Dotty

I hope you guys have been enjoying the Short Film Weekend segment so far. I know I have. This weekend I’m bringing you a really special short film entitled Dotty.

It resonated with me and will probably resonate with you because we’ve all been in a situation where we had to help an older person with some piece of technology. This heart-warming short will have you smiling, and may even leave you feeling like someone’s been cutting some onions nearby.

I used to work at Amazon and some of the most interesting calls I handled were when I had to help an old person use the Kindle their grandchild had bought them for Christmas (The grand kids are usually back at school by that point). Obviously at the time these were very frustrating calls, but overall they created the opportunity for me to hear interesting stories from these old folk, and also helped me gain new perspective and learn some patience.

I have parents who sometimes need a hand with a new phone, or some other piece of technology. This short has definitely ensured that I will be more tolerant and mindful when they ask for help in future.

I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I did. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
