Watch the Trailer for ‘The Boy’ Before you go to Bed

I’ve got a love/hate relationship with horror movies. I love the suspense and the thrill of them, but I hate the lingering thoughts of doom and despair that a good horror film can leave in your mind. It’s almost oppressing to the spirit. So here I am to tell you to check out a horror film trailer before you go to bed – The Boy. If you hate creepy dolls and possibly haunted houses, then this is not for you. And by that I mean that this is perfect for you!

So far the trailer has raked u almost 5-million views, and a lot of people are liking it. I can see why; it’s got all the elements of a good horror film. Setting up the tension and the horror fearlessly, but keeping quite a bit of the back story out of the trailer which is a smart move because after watching this I wanted to find out more about the family and this boy.

Here’s the IMDB synopsis for the film:

“An American nanny is shocked that her new English family’s boy is actually a life-sized doll. After violating a list of strict rules, disturbing events make her believe that the doll is really alive.”

The film stars The Walking Dead’s Lauren Cohan, who I’m glad to see seems to be making a move towards film whenever the show is off season. It also stars Rupert Evans, Ben Robson, Jim Norton, Diana Hardcastle, James Russell and Jett Klyne.

The film is set to open in U.S cinemas on 22 January 2016. What did you think of the trailer; is horror still alive and well in this day and age?
