8 New TV Series Trailers

It’s that time of the year again, where networks are giving their first look at a number of upcoming shows. Let’s face it, you didn’t come here to read me ramble about trailers. You came here to watch trailers, so here they are peeps…

True Detective Season 2

I can’t see Vince Vaughn in this role, even though he’s there. He’s in it. Collin Farrel is a coin toss for me; sometimes he nails his roles and other times you can tell why he’s that A-minus list actor. The other 2 (Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch) I can dig; they are even more awesome in this trailer.

Minority Report

Strange twist on the short story and the movie, but this looks very interesting. Fox is definitely one of the networks that cancels show very quickly, so be careful about how attached you get to this one. May have been really cool as a mini series I think.

Supergirl

I don’t like this. The whole thing played out almost exactly like the Black Widow parody trailer that Scarlett Johansson did for SNL. So far I feel like everyone was okay with the DC TV Universe being what it was (I can’t even describe it here) and then Marvel hit us with Daredevil and we all realized that this is how it should be done! I love me some DC Comics, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think they are doing a good job with the TV shows.

The Catch

I LOVE me some Mireille Enos, and now she’s back on the small screen. Although this trailer starts out light-hearted, it gets dark really quickly. And we all know ol’ Mireille can do dark and damaged all day son! I think I’m biased because I love the lead actress; uhm let’s just hope the script and plot development holds up.

Limitless

Even though he appears to be a secondary character, the amazing thing is that they got Bradley Cooper to come back and do this series, because as you know he did the film as well, which had a very open ending (awesome set-up for this if you ask me).

Blindspot

I love the premise for this. Sounds like it could be an amazing story, or maybe just a rip-off (or inspired by) a few other stories. Feels like a mix between Se7en, Prison Break and The Fifth Element – you’re welcome.

Lucifer

I’m going to postpone judgment (see what I did there) because I haven’t read the comic (or graphic novel if you wanna be all ladi daa). I’ll probably grab a few episodes and see how I like it.

Between

I don’t know what this is based on (is it based on something?) but kind of feels like it’s just a different version or a mix of The 100, or Under the Dome or The Leftovers. Will give it a try and see what I think. Cool thing is that this is on Netflix so all episodes will be released at once; which probably means that if it sucks I’ll give it more time than it deserves.

What are your thoughts on some of the latest TV shows about to hit the small screen? Which one of these are you looking forward to most?

For me it’s got to be Blindspot and The Catch.
