Short Film Weekend: Ice Age, Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe

I case you didn’t know, a new Ice Age movie is in the works, and will be released in July 2016. This post is not really about that film. Well maybe it is a bit. We get to spend some time with one of the most awesome characters in Ice Age: the speechless Scrat, and his beloved acorn. This time, he goes on a journey where no saber toothed squirrel has gone before. Enjoy…

Scrat’s little sideline adventures are always entertaining, and almost always affect the main plot by setting off some crazy string of unexpected events. It looks like he’s basically caused The Big Bang this time, the little nutter!

It’s worth noting that the graphics in this short look absolutely amazing; which goes to show how far the technology has come. Ice Age is possibly the most dominant Fox Animation franchises, and if the success keeps up, I think we’ll be getting more of these in future, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on how you feel about franchises that don’t die.

I hope you enjoyed Cosmic Scrat-tastrophe as much as I did. If so, do share this post, and feel free to add your voice to the conversation with a comment below.
