Free ‘Long Walk to Freedom’ screenings in South Africa
This one’s for all our local readers in South Africa. Friday 18 July marks Mandela Day. The former president of South Africa and world icon would have been 96 years old.
On July 18th at 9:45 AM, Videovision Entertainment, Ster-Kinekor and The Nelson Mandela Foundation will be hosting free screenings of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom– the Nelson Mandela biopic starring Idris Elba- in cinemas across the country.
Every year, South Africans (and many other people around the world) celebrate his legacy of peace, reconciliation, appreciation and kindness by taking 67 minutes out of the day to perform acts of kindness that change the world for the better.
The motto behind Mandela Day is: “Take Action. Inspire Change. Make every day a Mandela Day“. We’d like to encourage all of you to go out and start doing good on Friday; but don’t let it end there. Make a lifestyle change to try and do more good every day!
