Preacher Trailer #1

A few months ago I started reading the Preacher graphic novel series by Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon. this took me on a super messed up journey, but it was definitely tough to put the books down. You can only imagine the excitement when I heard that AMC were working on an adaptation. And now we have our first trailer…

Well, this is a great teaser trailer. We get a monologue from our main man Jesse Custer; we get flashes of what’s to come, and we get a bit of a sneak peak at Cassidy, which is the character I’m most excited for in this series.

The thing that put me off about this adaptation was that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are involved. These guys have talent, but I think it’s genre-specific. I’m not expecting amazing things, but the trailer looks decent. Let’s just wait and see what happens. It seems like Preacher has the green light for a pilot episode which airs some time in 2016.
