Fantastic 4 (2015) Trailer

Remember the Fantastic 4 movie with Jessica Alba and Chris Evans (before he was the Cap)? Remember how we all tried really hard to forget those 2 movies? I mean, the fact that they made two of them is unbelievable. Well, there’s a reboot on the way, as you may know, and the trailer looks AWESOME.

The film has been getting a lot of criticism over the last few months, specifically because of casting choices. But this trailer is damn impressive, and if it doesn’t wipe away your doubt, then I don’t know what will.

The tone of the trailer is ominous; the voice-over building up our heroes’ destinies. We catch glimpses of our heroes-to-be, living their normal lives, and a snippet of their superhero versions too. Just enough to whet the appetite.

This trailer reminds me of the time that everyone was concerned about Man of Steel in the wake of Superman Returns. Yes, blasphemy to bring up a DC comic right now, but I’m just drawing a parallel in terms of how changing the tone of a film can make or break it by giving the audience something unexpectedly breath-taking.

I’m keen to see The Fantastic 4, which premieres in August 2015. What did you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to the movie?
