This Trailer for Blindspotting Explores Race & Class in America

I have no idea how I missed this trailer, which has been out for a while now, but somehow I missed it. I stumbled on it today for some reason and it looks absolutely amazing. Blindspotting is the feature film debut by Carlos López Estrada, and stars Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal as two friends in Aoakland.

This looks like a dramedy that’s going to be both fun and intense to watch; filled with laughs and some very heavy moments as well – a lot like life itself. Here’s the official synopsis for the film, which has now officially entered my watch list:

“Lifelong friends Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal co-wrote and star in this timely and wildly entertaining story about the intersection of race and class, set against the backdrop of a rapidly gentrifying Oakland.”
