Mudbound, Phantom Thread & More New Trailers This Week

Mudbound

About a month ago we got a teaser, and now Netflix’s Southern drama has a full trailer. This looks gorgeous, the performances seems brilliant, and the material seems to be very intense.

Bright Trailer #2

We have the second trailer for the upcoming Netflix film starring Will Smith and Joel Edgerton as an orc. Sounds fun and looks cool.

Phantom Thread

This is it, guys: The last film that Daniel Day-Lewis will ever act in. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, Phantom Thread focuses on an obsessive dressmaker and his relationship with a young woman. Hollywood likes to tell the same stories. Wrote more on this here:

24 Hours to Live

Dude! CAPE TOWN! Also, Ethan Hawke and Davos Seaworth. I’m sold.

The Commuter

Looks way more complex than Taken. I was put off at first, but I know Vera Farmiga won’t just make any movie. She chooses her projects well, and this looks good..

Justice Is Served – Justice League

Just another few snippets from the latest trailer mostly, with a few extra bits here and there.

Den of Thieves

Okay I wasn’t interested, but O’Shea Jackson Jr. is talented (didn’t know he was in here), Gerard Butler and 50 Cent seem to be playing exceptionally badass characters, and they used M.A.A.D City by Kendrick Lamar for the trailer. That’s a yes, a yes and a YES from me. Thank you.

The Heyday of the Insensitive Bastards

Epic cast, but looks super low budget. The trailer isn’t getting much love on YouTube. Think that’s a mixture of the low budget which can be seen on screen, and the fact that it feels like of campy. I’m interested though because this feels very independent, despite the super famous cast. Haven’t heard much about this until now.

Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built

Helen Mirren? Say no more. I’m in.

Fullmetal Alchemist

Yes, this beloved Japanese Anime (and Manga) is getting the live action treatment in Japan. Make of this what you will. Doesn’t look half bad, but overall, adaptations have been kind of meh in Japan and Hollywood to date.
