In the wake of Batman v Superman, there’s been some concerned whispers about what direction the DC Comics Cinematic Universe will be taking. BvS was quite dark, with a messy script, despite having some great actors.

It was even reported that Suicide Squad had some re-shoots to lighten up the mood after the feedback from critics and audiences on BvS. However this trailer mirrors the first trailer we got, which is twisted in the sense that it’s light, but manic and somewhat violent.

I’m not one to prejudge, but the more I see of Leto’s Joker, the less I like him. However, I’m obviously going to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see. In the meantime, I’m pretty satisfied with the rest of the squad, particularly Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn.
