Gods of Egypt Trailer is full of CGI

So last week the posters for Gods of Egypt hit the internet which immediately reacted with outrage about how whitewashed the whole thing was. You’d think after Exodus: Gods and Kings, Hollywood would kind of get the picture that Egyptians are brown. Clearly they didn’t. What’s worse, is that the latest movie focusing on ancient Egypt also has really bad graphics, despite a very decent cast…

Some of the CGI in here reminds me of The Scorpion King. It’s just really, really bad. With regards to the whitewashing of the film, I wasn’t even mad about that- I guess I’m not surprised by Hollywood pulling that shit anymore.

But I WILL hold them to a certain standard in terms of their visual effects. This looks like horse shit.

The IMDB synopsis reads as follows:

A common thief joins a mythical god on a quest through Egypt.

Yup, that’s it. Will you be checking out Gods of Egypt at the cinema in February next year?
