5 Awesome Trailers from the Past Week
It’s safe to say that 2014 has thus far been a fantastic year for blockbusters, and will continue to be just that. With films like Godzilla, Spiderman and X-Men all hitting the big screen in 2014, film lovers all over have been lining up at cinemas to see these spectacles in 3D- nothing less will do. Here’s a short list of 5 trailers released this week for films that I’m really looking forward to.
Guardians of the Galaxy
This trailer just hit today, and it looks absolutely fantastic. Expect an eclectic mix of comedy, action and adventure in this one, with a group of misfit heroes who are here to save the galaxy. And the soundtrack for this film is amazing!

Interstellar
Christopher Nolan’s newest film, set for release in November 2014, looks to be as mind-bending as the stuff we’ve come to expect from this legendary filmmaker- like Inception and Memento was- but with a much bigger budget and space travel! This also looks like yet another powerful performance by Matthew McConaughey.
Edge of Tomorrow
What can I say? It’s Tom Cruise in a weird futuristic combat suit, again. And apparently it’s not a sequel to Oblivion. We’re told to expect some time travel and mind-f-**kery in this one, and the trailer looks really great. I may wait for this one to hit Blu-Ray, but I’ll definitely give it a watch.
Project Almanac
Okay, so this one is only coming out early in 2015, but it just felt right to include it because the trailer dropped this week, and I really like it. More time travel, and of course it’s all fun and games until a plane crashes because you went back in time to pass your chemistry test… or something like that. In all honesty, I was kind of yawning at the start of this trailer, but the build-up and finish was solid. Compared to the budget, crew and cast of other films in this list, this one is rather modest- but worth a watch in any case.
Transformers: Age of Extinction
Do I need to elaborate how in-your-face amazing this movie is going to be? At least from an aesthetic point of view. The trailer looks to have a more holistic approach to the Tranformer endeavour, but then again I’ve seen some trailers that take all the good bits out of movies. Let’s hope this isn’t one of those, because Optimus Prime on a Dino-bot: Your argument is invalid.
Which of these awesome movies are you looking forward to in the coming months? Let me know which one tops your list, and what other movies not on the list you’ve been waiting for.
